Where I’m From poem

This is the first homework assignment in my multimedia class. It introduces me to the students and gets them quickly into the kind of work they’ll do for their first project. I love the way it marries creative writing and technology.

1. Write a poem in the style of George Ella Lyon’s “Where I’m From”.
2. Record the poem. Optionally, add a music soundtrack.
3. Post your recording on SoundCloud. Optionally, add an image to the SoundCloud post.
4. Share the SoundCloud posting.
