Mozilla has built an interesting tool into the Firefox browser that allows you to make a three dimensional view of a website, where links and media “pop up” off the website image. This view provides a sense of the architecture of a website. Here’s how you do it:

  • Use the latest version of Firefox
  • Go to a webpage you want to examine in 3D
  • Right click with your mouse
  • Choose “inspect element”
  • In bottom right corner, there will be an icon (a 3D box) for the three dimensional view
  • Click and explore
